Artist Bio

Steve Abrams is best known for his great rapport with children. For over 30 years his puppetry has provided laughter and inspiration to audiences in 20 states. Performance credits include Brooklyn Children’s Museum, University of Pennsylvania Museum, Longwood Gardens, Philadelphia Flyers, Carnegie Library, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Phila Zoo, WHYY-TV, museums in Florida, Indian reservations in Arizona, and the Library of Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.

Mr. Abrams presents workshop sessions for children, teachers, and librarians. Steve serves as associate editor of Puppetry Journal and North American editor of the world Encyclopedia of Puppetry Arts. Honors: past President Puppeteers of America; Pennsylvania Library Association Certificate of Merit; delegate to international puppetry congress in Perth Australia.
