Romeo and Juliet

  • Romeo and Juliet by The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey | Young Audiences New Jersey
  • Shakespeare in American Communities

Description

In Shakespeare’s classic tale, two idealistic teens are pitted against their privileged families and a society consumed with senseless hatred and brutality.  A lyric depiction of young love, Romeo and Juliet also examines the effects of violence and the redeeming power of devotion.  Dynamic and deeply relevant, this new production is ideal for students in middle and high school.  Romeo and Juliet is perfect for meeting the Common Core Standards in Language Arts. When teachers utilize activities in the study guide, students can also meet Standards in Visual and Performing Arts.

Grades 6-12; Available late February through  May 17.
